View from my main window. People are sailing on the lake!
So, here are some pics of my apartment. It is such a lovely day today. I went for a morning walk around the lake and cooked some bok choy for lunch. Loverly. A much needed reprieve from long week of nerve-wracking child welfare. I can't imagine that that will be my job for the next series of years. Wow. I can't help but feel like that is the next step, though, despite its craziness. Everything I've been learning in school for the past 2 years and in training over the past 3 months has been preparing for this job. And now I'm doing it. Sort of. I have so much to learn about how to talk to families and how to make good decisions for what to do for them. Wow. Ok, I'm not going to think about that right now. I promised myself that the weekend was going to be a break from that, so let me stick to that. I did some reading too, which really was a treat. One of the books, Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto, ends with this:
"Finally, to all the readers who do not know me personally, who were kind enough to take the trouble to read my small effort, I know no greater happiness than that it may have cheered you, even a little. Surely we will meet someday, and until that day, I pray that you will live happily."
I wish you the same. Hmm, maybe at least the cute pictures of this post will lend you some of that cheer.
