egg tarts, grass jelly, and squid curry
The beginning of 2006 has been a compendium of mini food adventures here in Berkeley with my sister visiting. We've had clam chowder on Fisherman's Wharf, dim sum in Oakland, and pastries from Ranch 99. I think I forget sometimes how much our daily lives are punctuated by food. I feel like my life is scheduled around the preparation or procurement of food.
